Cole Almost Wasn’t Published?

Have you ever run out of space on your computer and had to clear out your trash for extra space? One simple click and your trash bin is emptied, its contents forever removed from creation. That was almost Cole’s fate. Two days before Cole’s final publication date, April 10th, 2022, Grace tried to upload the final draft of Cole to KDP only to find it was MIA. She searched every folder and every jumpdrive, but Cole was gone. This version of Cole was up to date with edits, formatting tweaks, and final checks. This was the final print copy. Yet it was nowhere to be seen. On a whim, she checked her trash.

What did she find?

Cole! Somewhere between the cleaning up of old drafts and minor cover art tweaks, the real copy had been deleted! One more click and the book would have been gone. Years of hard work and dedication could have vanished in a click.

Working as if under gunpoint, Grace recovered her files and uploaded them safely to KDP. Disaster avoided!
