Introducing: EduGuide

This Educational Guide (EduGuide for short) to the Fog Saga is a breakdown of each chapter. To begin, the child must have read or listened to the audiobook version of the corresponding chapter to the book. Audiobook chapters range from 15 to 30 minutes per chapter but can be broken into smaller portions for teaching. EduGuide videos run at 5 to 8 minutes in length but have a variety of activities included. These activities could take anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour to complete, depending on the length and depth you’d like your child to write.

This can be a tool for educators, curious readers, or new writers. In each video, Grace breaks down a chapter of her book by talking about different literacy tools, writing techniques, and plot devices. This can be used for any age, but the target audience is ages 8-14. Each video includes writing and reading vocabulary usage in context as well as on-screen definitions. At the end of the explanation time, Grace poses questions for readers to respond to in writing and use their new vocabulary words for themselves.
